The SEC's Division of Economic and Risk Analysis published updated market statistics and data visualizations, according to press release 2026-61 dated July 1, 2026.
IPO Activity Rises
The number of initial public offerings climbed to 99 in the first quarter of 2026, compared with 84 in the same period of 2025.
IPO proceeds increased 86% on a year-over-year basis.
Follow-on Offerings Increase
Follow-on registered offerings totaled 264 in the first quarter of 2026, up from 250 in the first quarter of 2025.
ABS and CMBS Data Enhancements
The DERA update includes additional historical statistics for issuances of asset-backed securities and commercial mortgage-backed securities.
The update also adds three new ABS issuance data visualizations.
