Apisit Pinmaneeakul named KPMG Thailand, Myanmar and Laos CEO

• Apisit Pinmaneeakul takes over from Charoen Pusumritdeth.
• Charoen Pusumritdeth will retire on Sept. 30, 2026.
• Apisit was previously head of tax at KPMG Thailand.

KPMG Thailand said Apisit Pinmaneeakul will take over as chief executive officer of KPMG Thailand, Myanmar and Laos on Oct. 1, 2026. He succeeds Charoen Pusumritdeth, who will step down and retire on Sept. 30, 2026 after serving as chief executive since 2019.

Before the move, Apisit was head of tax and responsible for the tax practice. The company said he has been one of its key leaders and has played an important role in strategic direction and long-term success.

Charoen said Apisit had shown resilience, agility, a clear vision and a commitment to trust, quality and long-term value creation. Apisit said he was honoured to lead the firm in a business environment that is changing all the time and becoming more complex.

He said the firm aims to combine its expertise, deep knowledge and varied capabilities to help clients deal with challenges, seize new opportunities and create sustainable long-term value.
