Business loans

For business credit customers, the bank said it will ease repayment terms to fit the borrower’s situation. That includes lower instalments, longer repayment periods and temporary principal-only relief for up to 12 months.

The bank also said it will provide additional funding for large business borrowers to support short-term liquidity, repairs and recovery.

For SME customers, Bangkok Bank said it will offer loans for up to five years at a fixed rate starting at 3.5% a year for two years. After that, the rate will be no lower than MLR minus 1% a year.

The bank said the SME funding is under the GSB soft-loan scheme, GSB พลิกฟื้นธุรกิจไทย, which runs until 30 September 2026.

Retail relief

For retail borrowers, the bank said it has prepared several measures and will assess help according to the severity of the impact. Credit card customers can have minimum payments cut by 3% from the normal rate for up to 6-12 months.

The bank said overdue interest can be reduced by up to 75% for no more than three billing cycles, or up to 90 days. It also said principal and interest can be paused for three months at 5% a year.

For personal loans under supervision, Bangkok Bank said it will cut the rate on Bualuang Sukjai loans by 1% from the normal rate or pause principal payments for up to 3-6 months. It said the same 1% rate cut applies to Bualuang Uenjai revolving loans for up to 3-6 months.

For housing loans, mortgage-backed loans and personal loans, the bank said monthly instalments can be reduced by as much as 40% for up to 6-12 months. It also said customers can keep paying under the existing terms while getting a 0.5% rate cut for up to 3-6 months.

Other options include principal-only relief with full interest payments for up to 3-6 months, or principal relief with partial interest payments of at least 70% for up to three months or at least 50% for up to six months. The remainder of the interest will be parked.

New and top-up loans

Bangkok Bank said customers who want additional borrowing or are new customers can apply for Bualuang Poonphon loans secured by housing. The loans run for up to five years, carry a special rate of MRR minus 2% a year, or 4.50% a year, and waive the survey and collateral appraisal fee.

The bank said the funding is for home repairs. It added that borrowers should take only what they need and can afford to repay.

Affected customers can apply for the measures by 30 December 2026 through branches, business offices and the credit card line. Bangkok Bank said more details are available on its website and through its call centre at 1333 or 0 2645 5555.
