Bangkok transport office sets special Saturday licence service

Bangkok transport authorities will run a special licence service on 26 September at office 5, with public driving licences due by 30 Sep.

Bangkok’s transport office will hold a special licence service on 26 September at the Bangkok Metropolitan Area Office 5. The department said the service is only on Saturday, and the government deadline for a public driving licence is 30 Sep.

Issuance

Licences issued after July-August 2026 cooperation rose 191.6% for cars and 255.4% for motorcycles. The monthly average was 8,499 car licences and 8,072 motorcycle licences.

Cumulative public car driving licences totalled 162,310, while cumulative public motorcycle driving licences totalled 183,415.

The government requires app drivers to have a valid public driving licence.
