FREELANDER marks Abu Dhabi debut with global push
FREELANDER used its Abu Dhabi launch on 29 September to unveil the FREELANDER 8, its first strategic model, and new Middle East dealer partnerships.

Launch
FREELANDER held its global brand launch at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi on 29 September. The company said the event marked a new chapter for the brand as an independent global marque.

The launch introduced the brand's positioning, global vision and strategy. It also unveiled the FREELANDER 8, described by the company as its first strategic model.
FREELANDER 8
The headline vehicle was the left-hand-drive international version of the FREELANDER 8. FREELANDER said it was shown in the Middle East for the first time.
The model includes the brand's castle-style body design, its signature triangular window, premium nappa leather upholstery and selected ayous wood veneer. FREELANDER said it was developed for multiple international markets.
Technology
The company highlighted the i-ATS, or Intelligent All-Terrain System. It said the system integrates nine terrain modes.
In Smart Mode, the system monitors driving conditions continuously and switches automatically to the optimum condition mode in real time. FREELANDER also showed the dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup and off-road functions including Tank Turn, Crawl Control and Hill Descent Control.
Middle East rollout
FREELANDER said the Middle East is its strategic starting point and the UAE its first international market. It confirmed partnerships with Al Tayer Motors for Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and with Premier Motors for Abu Dhabi.
The company said those partnerships and its regional network development were part of the next stage of its global journey.

FREELANDER described itself as a premium British off-road brand with intelligent technology. It said it was developed through collaboration between Jaguar Land Rover and Chery, with JLR leading design and Chery providing advanced intelligent technology and a global supply chain.
