Mineralys Therapeutics said new data from its Launch-HTN trial of lorundrostat will be presented at American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week 2026 in Denver, Colorado. The meeting runs October 21-25.

Presentation

The oral presentation is titled “Blood Pressure and Albuminuria Reduction with Lorundrostat in Chronic Kidney Disease Stages 1 to 3 in the Launch-HTN trial.”

The listed authors are Liffert Vogt, professor of nephrology and renal transplantation at Amsterdam University Medical Center and University of Amsterdam; Patrick J. Heagerty, professor of biostatistics at University of Washington; and Sarbani Bhaduri, vice president of clinical research at Mineralys Therapeutics.

Launch-HTN

Mineralys described Launch-HTN as a global, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial in adults whose blood pressure remained uncontrolled despite two to five antihypertensive medications.

Participants were assigned to lorundrostat 50 mg once daily, lorundrostat 50 mg once daily with the option to increase to 100 mg at week six based on prespecified criteria, or placebo.

The primary endpoint was change from baseline in systolic blood pressure at six weeks versus placebo, measured by automated office blood pressure monitoring.

Drug profile

Mineralys says lorundrostat is an investigational, orally administered, highly selective aldosterone synthase inhibitor for uncontrolled or resistant hypertension and related comorbidities, including chronic kidney disease and obstructive sleep apnea.

The company said the drug was designed to reduce aldosterone levels by inhibiting CYP11B2. It said the compound has 374-fold selectivity for aldosterone-synthase inhibition versus cortisol-synthase inhibition in vitro, an observed half-life of 10-12 hours, and a 40-70% reduction in plasma aldosterone concentration in participants with hypertension.

Mineralys said it has completed six late-stage clinical trials of lorundrostat. It said its program includes the Phase 3 Launch-HTN trial and Phase 2 Advance-HTN trial.
