The AuricTrade demo account is free, requires no deposit, and runs on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView. It is the right place to learn the platform and prove a process — with the caveat that it will flatter any strategy sensitive to execution.
Prices come from the live feed, so spreads track the real account closely. Fills do not: the demo does not reproduce slippage, partial fills or requotes, which is exactly where a live account underperforms.
The gap matters most for strategies that trade frequently or around news. A scalping approach that is marginally profitable on demo will usually be unprofitable live once slippage is applied.

Set the demo balance to the amount you actually intend to fund. A $100,000 practice balance teaches position sizing habits that will not transfer to a $100 account.
Trade it for long enough to cover a quiet week and a major release. The useful output is not the profit but whether you followed your own rules.
Demo trading cannot teach you how you behave when the money is real, which is why traders move to a small live account sooner than they expect to.

Yes, and it requires no deposit or funded account.
Demo accounts are commonly closed after an extended period of inactivity. Logging in periodically keeps it open, and the balance can be reset without opening a new one.
Treat them as the optimistic case. Spreads are realistic; execution is not, so expect live results to be somewhat worse, particularly around news.
